Below you will find a brief description of each of the committees KBBA is made up of. If you find that one of the committees is a good fit for you particular set of skills, please feel free to contact our committee chairs. Remember it takes an army of parents to run this show successfully! 

 

Alumni Committee:

The Alumni Committee connects band alumni with the current program, fostering lasting relationships and support through events, outreach, and fundraising that benefit today's students.

 

Chair: Kristie Walker 

 

Chaperone Committee:

Practices, games, competitions, we always need parents who want to be a part of the process and take care of these wonderful students!

 

Chairs: Stephanie Jones and Kristina Howard Email

 

Concessions Committee:

Organize the visitors' concessions stand and help cook or serve during football games. 

 

Chairs: Brian Leonard and Kim Burling

 

Equipment Committee:

Help build props, load/unload the truck, move equipment

 

Chairs: Erik Skow and Jay Stewart

 

Guard Comittee:

 Supports the team through fundraising, event coordination, and hands-on help with uniforms, equipment, and logistics throughout the year.

 

Chair: Krystle Lynch Email

 

Historian:

Taking pictures and/or video at games, practices, competitions, and band events throughout the year.

 

Chair: Tim Sisson

 

Hospitality:

Serving 160+ hungry teenagers a meal before football games or during long practice days. 

 

Chair: Roop Chatha

 

Newsletter:

Creates and distributes the weekly newsletter to keep students and parents informed. Upcoming events, important announcements and volunteer opportunities are all communicated in the newsletter.

Percussion Committee:

Supports the section through fundraising, event coordination, and hands-on help with equipment, transport, and logistics throughout the year.

RaiseRight:

Promote the use of this program that helps offset the cost of dues for each student

Special Events Committee:

Help with organizing events (large event logistics, banquets, etc.).

Spirit Wear:

Coordinate and distribute spirit wear.

Uniform Committee:

Anything uniforms! Wash, alter, fit, and organize uniforms our students wear.

Website:

Build and edit the website where all information needed for band is held.
