SUBJECT: Newsletter for Week of September 6, 2026

Notes from the Director

September 6, 2026

Dear students and parents,

Happy Labor Day!  Thanks for your continued hard work and support, as always.  Friday night was incredibly unusual (referees didn't arrive until 10PM, so the game started very late).  This was the first time in my 24-year teaching career that I've seen this happen. We appreciate the admin approval to let us leave at halftime, the KBBA parents who bought snacks for the students, and the students themselves for maintaining their positive energy the entire night.  Thank you all for rolling with the punches!  We're looking forward to another great week, including another away game at Lassiter!  Stay informed and involved!

Hook 'em, Horns!

Sincerely,

David Roth

Concessions

Below is a brief summary of each of the volunteer opportunities

  • Front Window (2 People): Take orders and collect cash and card payments. We may require you to load the payment processing application on your phone and have found that Verizon and T-Mobile customers have the best cell service.

  • Cash Box (1 Person): Makes change for cash payments.

  • Grill (1-2 People): Cook hot dogs and hamburgers. We like to have two people so they can swap out due to the heat.
